| Hi, my name is Pattie Beans-Clark and I am a race director for
the New Hope-Solebury 5k Spirit Run. It’s hard to believe
that this is the seventh year of our race. We began this race
as a way to raise dollars to start a track team at New Hope-Solebury
High School and raise funds to build a track facility. I’m
proud to say that we did accomplish our goal and completed the
track last year and are entering our seventh track season.
For the past six years I have coached high school track and
field hockey teams …..and have loved every moment. During
this time, I also worked with Older Adults at several area retirement
communities. Just recently I accepted a new position as Wellness
Director at Wesley Enhance Living at Heritage Towers, an opportunity
that enables me to combine my work with Older Adults and my
background in Health and Fitness.
I live in Solebury with my husband Bill – soon to be
an “empty-nesters.” My youngest son Kevin goes off
to college this year and my oldest son Jason will graduate from
Bloomsburg. To keep me otherwise occupied (and not think about
the pending quiet house), I am on the board of the Central Bucks
Family YMCA, enjoy tennis, biking, gardening, and am an avid
rower with the Swan Creek Rowing Club in Lambertville.
